Rifles
During World War I, the most important and crucial weapon was the rifle. This was the main weapon used by British soldiers. This weapon also can be called, the bolt-action rifle. The soldier could fire 15 rounds per minute and it was possible to kill someone up to 1,400 meters away.
The rifle was mainly used by a sniper soldier. This term, means that this soldier will be an observer. Usually they would be one of the last men of the group. They worked day and night, and basically they were targetting and shotting any moving object behind enemy lines. Other function sniper soldier had was to protect their group when they decide to attack.
