Machine Guns
The machine gun was one of the most dominant weapons of the battlefields in World War I. It was very heavy, such as 30 to 60 kilograms each machine gun. The machine gun was usually placed in a tripoid. They could fire from 400 to 600 small-calibre rounds per minute. This gun had two huge negative aspect, it would rapidly overheat and they should wait a long time until it cools a little bit, this was because it fire a huge amount of small-calibre, and in those times the cooling mechanism of the guns were not that good, and will eventually it overheat. And it took a lot of soldiers to work with it, around 4 to 6 soldiers per machine gun. It is estimated that just one machine gun equals from 60 to 80 rifles. The machine gun can be used as an offensive or as a deffensive weapon.
